About me

I have been a French Teacher here in Houston for the last 5 years, working as a substitute for the districts of Klein and Pasadena, working for private schools such as Saint Nicholas and the French Alliance of Houston and doing a lot of tutoring for Saint John's.

My teaching experience ranges from children 6 months of age to teenagers and also adults. I am native French from Paris, my husband is American and my daughter was born in Houston.

I have been teaching French mainly but I also subbed in Mathematics, History etc...3 years ago I created my own company for teaching French. I do enjoy it a lot.

I consider the first educational years of a child as being crucial to her/his developmental and intellectual growth. We want our children to love school, to be eager to learn and to enjoy learning!

I decided to start my own daycare at home. I created and implemented a dual and bilingual curriculum based on American (NCCIC and NAEYC) and French (Education Nationale) directives and recommendations for young children's education.

I do believe that quality programs make a difference. You will find the same programs as in most schools (Early literacy, Mathematics, Sciences, Gross and Fine motor skills, Arts, etc) with an emphasis on Literacy. We read books daily, we study them, we are currently working on a class bilingual dictionary and we have created a picture dictionary on the books read together.

Young children are just like sponges. Learning is natural for them.

Feel free to call me or write to me if you want more info.
